Since the introduction of the WEEE Directive in Jully 2007, all fluorescent & discharge lamps must be recycled properly and not thrown away with other waste.

A new directive for the recycling of used fluorescent & discharge lamps came into affect on the 1st July 2007. As a result all lighting suppliers will have to comply and charge a “fee” per lamp weee levy charge for the recycling on all orders of the affected products as from the 1st of July 2007. Bradfield Trading Ltd will be charging the “fee” levy cost on all purchases as a seperate line on your invoices to keep all the charges simple and transparent on the total of affected lamps.

The weee compliance scheme expects business users to arrange (and pay) for the transportation of the waste to recycle drop points around the country.
